How Can Mold Affect Your Health?

Exposure to damp and moldy environments may cause a variety of health affects, or none at all.  The type of mold exposed to, as well as individual sensitivity and pre-disposition can dictate the affects and indivdual may feel.

Mold can cause three types of health affects:
  • Allergic / Irritant Responses: comparable to seasonal allergies
  • Immuno-toxic: some molds produce toxins that adversely affect health
  • Infection: active mold growth on the body.  This can occur on skin, nails, sinuses, lungs, etc.
